Study Tips for Test Taking
Math Tests:
- Bring home both your math workbook and math notebook when preparing for a math test. Your math folder might have additional resources as well.
-Review notes, definitions and any examples that we did together as a class or small group.
-Come up with similar math problems on your own and solve them by showing all of your work.
-Work on problems or examples that you did not get a chance to complete in class.
-Make sure you know your multiplication tables! This will benefit you TREMENDOUSLY in fourth grade! Create flashcards for practice or try using a math website.
Vocabulary and Spelling Tests:
-All Vocabulary/Spelling Words are listed and defined in the Daily Notebook.
-Practice spelling the words by re-writing them or alphabetizing them.
-Create flashcards for practice with both the definition and the correct spelling. Make sure you understand how certain words are used in context.
